Shandong Beichen was invited to attend the 3rd International Nuclear Power Small Reactor Development Summit Forum

On October 19 and 20, 2017, the 3rd International Nuclear Power Small Reactor Development Summit Forum was successfully held at the Academic Center of the Shanghai Institute of Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Shanghai, from domestic and foreign nuclear power regulatory agencies, R & D units, scientific research institutes, suppliers, etc. More than 180 guests from related units attended the meeting.

The meeting focused on hot topics such as small reactor policy, design standards, site selection evaluation and licensing, research and development and progress of various technologies, requirements of equipment and materials, progress of new projects and application prospects, etc. The participating units conducted in-depth discussions and promoted the commercialization process of small reactors. It also provides a broad platform for all units to understand the frontier dynamics of international small reactors and promote the diversified development of the nuclear power industry.

On the first day of the conference, the guests at the conference conducted academic sharing and in-depth discussions on the current situation and standard research of nuclear small reactors, and made a wonderful prospect for the cutting-edge technology of nuclear small reactors; on the second day of the conference, China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation was set up. The 19th Research Institute and the branch venue of China General Nuclear Power Group mainly discussed the research and development progress of key nuclear power equipment.

Shandong Beichen, as a supplier of nuclear power equipment, was invited to attend this meeting and had in-depth exchanges and discussions. In recent years, Shandong Beichen has successively obtained equipment manufacturing contracts for CPR1000, AP1000 and Hualong 1 (CNNC Fuqing Unit 5.6 and CGN Fangchenggang Unit 3.4). Shandong Beichen's efforts and achievements in nuclear power have been highly recognized and evaluated.

This meeting aimed at the development status and future development direction of nuclear power small reactors, and played an important role in enhancing the development of nuclear power. At the same time, the successful holding of this conference has promoted mutual exchanges and cooperation in the field of nuclear power at home and abroad, and played a great role in promoting the application and development of nuclear power small reactors in the future!
